I applied and got a job working at home for a coding company. I guess I got lucky as it is harder to work from home when you're a new coder.

Do you work for a hospital or practice management company that does billing for doctors, or what, if you don't mind saying?
No, she didn't answer your question. - I think

You gave her hospital and "practice management company" options.
She said she worked for a coding company. To me, that is a company like Maxim.
A "practice management company" is not a coding company, at least not in general understanding. It is a company contracted to do coding for hospitals or clinics. A coder who worked for a practice management company would probably say that, or say she/he worked for the practice itself.

I was at my doctor's office this morning and in the midst of the exam we got to talking about my goal to take the medical coding schooling (through Andrews). She was concerned that with the EMR process today, medical coders would not be as involved with actual coding as they have been in the past and therefore the job market not as promising. My doctor's clinic has the computer screen in the office and she sh ...

Soon thereafter, I started work at a mental health clinic as a Medical Transcriptionist with 12 other transcriptionists. This was in late 1993 and I am still there as of right now.
