I asked this before. Are IMedx and L S systems one and the same? I got a call with IMEDX on the caller ID but when I called back the gentleman said LS systems.

Yes, they are. I believe IMedx is the Indian company that bought out Medware. - All I know

I'm not sure what the deal is. If LS Services is the "front" for this Indian outfit or what. It made me way leery to take a job. Most of the work I believe is done by Indians and you have to proofread it for cheap.

Yes but they appear to work separately - Curious, which did you apply to?

Just curious, which company did you apply to?

The guy must have been hibernating for the past 2 years or else he forgot which phone he was answering.  The acquisition happened over 2 years ago.  Maybe no one bothered to change the Caller ID name?  LOL

iMedX Announces Acquisition of LS Services Inc. iMedX expands into the hospital and Government market

Shelton, Connecticut — March 3rd, 2008 — iMedX Inc., a leading healthcare software and services company, announced today that it has acquired LS Services Inc., (LS). LS, founded in 1990, currently serves hospitals and State Governments across the country, with a US-based transcription workforce. With the acquisition of LS, iMedX gets deeper penetration into hospitals and the Government market, and expands its in-house and home-based network of US-based medical transcriptionists. LS’s offices in Ohio will be used as a base to expand iMedX’s US-based transcription workforce. Using iMedX’s revolutionary TurboScribe® platform for medical transcription, iMedX’s customers enjoy the benefit of an efficient transcription workflow and ease of management. With TurboScribe’s integration with leading Electronic Medical Record (EMR) products, iMedX’s customers will progress towards a paperless environment and a higher quality of care. LS’s customers will benefit from the ease of use of the TurboScribe® technology and will see efficiencies in the paperless workflow that TurboScribe® provides. Additionally, LS’s customers can take advantage of iMedX’s other Internet-based products such as its TurboRecord® - iMedX’s low-cost EMR, and their ePrescribing product TurboRx® for error-free prescribing through pharmacies across the country.

Venkat Sharma, iMedX’s president and CEO, along with the current iMedX management team, will continue to lead the two companies. LS will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of iMedX, as an Ohio corporation. The LS team will continue servicing LS customers as Brad and Susan Runyon, the founders of LS, work toward rapid growth in the institutional market of hospitals and the Government. LS’s 10,000 square foot offices in the tri-state area of Southern Ohio/Kentucky/West Virginia will help the local community through iMedX’s planned growth in that area.

I work for ImedX. I came over in the transition from Medware. As far as I can tell, though they might say they are a seperate company it is all under ImedX. In fact, Brad Runyon (from LS)is copied on all emails that I get from management. I didn't know they were hiring..there are only about 30 MTs left from Medware that are still working. A majority of the work is sent overseas, so much so that a US Based MT can be out of work but someone in India has got plenty to keep them busy.

LS Services, Ohio - NotNewMT

I phoned LS Services in South Point, Ohio, and the gal answered the phone as "iMedX" - threw me off, so I inquired if this was LS. She told me that they had been bought out. I was transferred to another extension, but did not bother to leave a message.

LS is still advertising without any signs of iMedX being a part of the company.

Wow. Thanks for the information. I find it very interesting that they are still using L S Services n - Makes them look better

I guess they figured the whole Indian-owned company thing might hurt their chances of people applying. What happened to honesty. What L S Services is hiring now for is pretty much people to proofread the Indian's reports for 3 cpl. No thanks.

So, I'm not really asking for a show of hands here, but have you been "moved" in the last 2, 3 weeks or so to a hospital account in the upper northwest part of the country that is rather a booger-bear to learn? It is INTENTIONAL, you will be FIESA'd to death if you are not already. (You were likely told that they need you there because it is a difficult account to keep staffed, at least that is what they told the last person). Just warning you. Be on the lookout for that one plan ...
