declining MQ - jp

Posted: Nov 22, 2011

I also am one that is declining the offer letter from MQ after Execuscribe was bought out.  Was very disappointed as had only been with the company for about a month and really liked working for them.  Had worked for MQ previously for about 6 years and the last 2 years there were a nightmare.  Don't need anymore of that stress.  Told my leader I would finish out this week but just don't feel much like working, no loyalty whatsoever to MQ and really don't care if their jobs go out of TAT.  Just wondering how many others are declining since my account is usually always within TAT and it seems like the reports I am getting this evening are later than usual.  On the bright side though, had been offered another job just days after accepting with Execuscribe and emailed the recruiter yesteday with my MQ buyout news and was called today with a job offer.  Start new training on Monday.  Hopefully this one will not be swallowed by the Q.

That's great news that you have another job :)

I was with etransplus when the Q bought them out. I stayed for about three weeks before leaving. I saw a drastic difference in our jobs and my acct got behind. They were needing people on all accts. I figure people were dropping out of there like flies for other jobs. I interviewed with Execuscribe and almost took the job but she couldn't guarantee insurance coverage after the first of the year. It sounded fishy to me so I declined the offer. I'm glad I did! I would be in the same boat I was with etransplus! I now work for Transcend and hopefully they are too big to be bought out.. I'm hoping anyway!

In the same boat Peachey... - wasHappyMt

I was in the eTrans buyout too, but I am still hanging by a thread with MQ. My supervisor from eTrans just got cut yesterday. He was one of the only reasons I was still there, so I am now actively looking. How is Transcend to work for? Is pay in any way comparable to eTrans? I always had over 7000 lines, so any chance of making close to that paywise at Transcend? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

I really doubt it at Transcend - NM

pay at Transcend - peachey

Transcend is an editing company, so while they do have some accts with straight typing and all accts usually start out with straight typing they want to have them all switched over to editing. My acct right now is straight typing but will be switched soon. I worked for them before doing editing and yes the pay was decent. I was getting faster at it and better at it. I was just too tempted by working for somone with straight typing and left and went to etransplus. I wish I wouldn't have as I would be really good at editing by now. Transcend is very organized and they have a great system. That is something etrans didn't have IMO. They pay on time and they have a great new system starting up soon that is going to make things a lot easier. It's called Encore.

I just don't think I would want to work for one of the small companies anymore as they have a chance of being bought out by the Q.

I have plenty of work with Transcend and they are asking us to help out if we want on other accts.

They are getting more and more accts too. After the things I read here about the Q, even from people who never say negative things here, I decided not to stay with them. Good luck to you in whatever you decide to do :)

Speech System Quality Declining!
Mar 11, 2014

I've seen a few complaints about the speech system quality going down over the past couple months, but this week it just keeps getting worse and worse.  First off, it's leaving off entire sentences now.  As in, things that these doctors say on every single report, yet it decides that it doesn't need to be there.  Then periods are gone.  It seems to think that periods are no longer important at the end of paragraphs, and when some of these doctors put a paragra ...
