Timesaver - RLee

Posted: Feb 07, 2010

I could not enter my hours for the 3 days that I did work, due to waiting for support to get back to me about login problems.  I got past that and got onto the system.  I now notice that there is no dollar amount where it should be.  I was under the impression during training that these dollar amounts with calculate automatically and you would be able to see what you had made.  Is that correct?  I also noticed that for each day there was already an entry with my total daily line count, which  the system populated in - and I  had to add an entry for my hours worked - so as a result I have 2 entries for each day - one for daily line count and the other for hours.  Is this the way it should be?  Just curious as to if I am missing something.

All is correct - sm

We were told in the training that the dollar amount would NOT be there. What we were told that would automatically be calculated was the hours worked if you added more than one account. On Bayscribe we were told that we no longer had to enter our line counts, that they would automatically be entered for us so that all we had to enter was our work hours. Not sure about other platforms. So yes, you would have two entries, one for worked hours and one for line counts.

Hope this helps :)

I believe radiology and oncology still have to enter their units. This only applies to typed work lines and/or edited work lines.

Thanks - I am all straightend out now - RLee

RLee-Worried about you - Concerned MT

[ In Reply To ..]
We "talked" briefly before and I was the one who worked for Transcend right after it merged with MDI-FL and was still a good place to work. Obviously, things have really changed. What a shame. When we discussed this briefly you mentioned not wanting to reveal who you were for fear the work situation would get worse. I wonder if you have not already identified too much about yourself for them to figure out who it is and are somehow restricting or punishing you. Just my opinion- You have mentioned way too many details i.e. collecting unemployment, contact with TLs, correspondence etc. I would be concerned you have put yourself too far out there and they know who you are. I believe in freedom of speech but I trust no one in this business. Just a little word of caution in giving out personal details.

I am not worried - RLee

I realize the situation about releasing too much info - but at this point they cannot punish me much more than they already have - as far as limited work, etc. On the other hand, I am sure I am not the only one who has pursued unemployment. I have not given out any specific details to my accounts or regions. My nickname/alas also has NOTHING to do with my real name. If they want to FIRE me that would be great - that way I would not have any obligation to even check for work day to day or look at a blank screen for hours on end. If they would prefer to play private detective instead of fixing the situation at hand nothing is going to get fixed within this company. I cannot say I do not trust anyone in this business, but I can say I do not trust anyone in management at Transcend. But, I want to thank you for your concern - I will be a little more careful as to specifics - I probably needed to be reminded.

They were restricting/punishing me way before I started to chirp on this post. As a result of my posting I found others were in the same boat and it was not just me. By reading the many different posts they are restricting/punishing others as well. It makes me nauseated to think Transcend would retaliate against me by punishment as if I was a child yelling to loud - lol - if that is there grounds for no work, I am sure the Dept of Labor would also consider that unethical. But again, thanks for your concern - from an MT to another :)

Transcend TimeSaver
Feb 10, 2012

I don't have a problem with TimeSaver.  After tracking my lines for quite a while and using a stopwatch to see how many lines on average I produce an hour, which translated to $18.50 per hour, now I just take my lines for the day and divide that by $18.50 to figure out how many hours I worked.  I usually do 1850 lines a day to equal 8 hours. ...

Those who are still using Timesaver to log their time are supposed to be switching to webclock right? Does anyone know when that starts? I haven't heard anything about it recently.  ...

Transcend Employees...entering Time In TimeSaver
Feb 07, 2012

I need help and need to know how you all enter your time in TimeSaver.  I was told to only enter the time you are actually typing or editing and do not enter the time you are researching or reading work emails, etc., only when your "hands are on the keyboard".  So, this obviously won't equal to 8 hours a day just by entering this time, so how do they figure in that we are full-time employees this way?   If I only enter 5 or 6 hours a day instead of 8 then they can ...
