I have applied 2 or 3 times to Cardus. The last 2 times, I happened to see the ad go on and I answered within 10 minutes of the ad placement. It only had 10-20 "hits" before mine, if that. Knowing full well they received my resume very early on and didn't answer, I began to think all kinds of things...am I on a "hit list?" etc. ! I then went into the archives and well, they speak for themselves...! We've likely dodged a bullet. I will never apply again, after all these times of being ignored, regardless. You really feel like a fool! But according to the archives, we've not missed anything! GL

I also answered shortly after the ad was posted.
don't feel bad...as stated by another, count your blessings instead. - nm
why these companies might constantly post ads for hire... - sm

I'm sure it stinks there. But I was thinking, about these companies which post every 5 minutes even though there are no jobs...you know, there's something in the law that requires a company to actively pursue the hiring of Americans. They have to show they have a constant ad (I don't know how constant, but must place pretty often, I'm sure)--to demonstrate that they CANNOT FIND US WORKERS to fill the job, and therefore must look overseas. Get it??? Also, as we know, keeping many people working below the 30 or 40 hours makes them part-time so benefits are not required, all of that comes into play, as well. We just don't know all the details because, after all, who are we? Just the workers.
Question for you - anon

WHAT LAW? Is there such a law or is it your imagination? Because they are India owned. They can do whatever they want, no need to jump through the invisible hoops you talk about in your post to get across the ocean. Plus, I have worked there. The rad sector is a small company who sold to Cardus (Indians with Michigan headquarters) to stay in business, and they operate as an American companhy hiring only Americans. However, the rad sector is also subcontracted with Future Net for some of FN's rad work. It's a spider web of grasping at straws to survive.
You should be more concernjed with the words "must be available for your shift" which means even if and when there is no work, sitting and waiting. You'll be scheduled 40 hours, but not exactly actively typing 40 hours depending on account, mostly on weekends. Someone shouild start documenting all that 'down time.' Also, this (eh-hem)lady's...interpretation of "must be available for your shift" is also you'll get no coverage if you 1) get behind and need help and 2) need time off for an appointment or whatever because she does not overhire (another point of your's), in fact underwires by one parttime floater.
Benefits?.....Benefits? good one!
Re: Same jobs over and over - Radnet is new for her.
You should be more concerned with false advertising as to - there is no formal "recruiter" there. One person also by the title of Mgr. of Operations does it all. 75 WPM? Just say yes because they never test your speed. Actually, there is no testing at all, no calls to your references, so lie away, she'll never know.
Your post is a tad off the wall IMHO, and so is this company.
Please produce the law they are supposedly satisfying as a prerequisite to sending work overseas. If just talking off the top of paranoia, well....just say no and relax with a Long Island Iced Tea.
btw followup... - about companies posting ads

Oh, then they "pretend" they couldn't find any suitable American workers. How, you might ask, when they've got 800 resumes per ad??? My answer is I don't have a clue...I guess, they must say we're asking for too much money, that we refuse to take a minimum wage position, and therefore they cannot stay in business without hiring overseas...something of that nature it seems to me is going on...but again, what do I know?
I am curious if there are any QA out there that work for Cardus. They said they pay per report. I am wondering how much they pay per report before I apply if I can find anyone who is aware of this. ...
Does anyone know what Cardus pays for Radiology? Says experience and shift, but if anyone works on Radiology there, could you let me know the rate of pay? I guess it is straight transcription. ...
Do not work for Cardus. Their management style is the worst. They play favorites and if you are not on "the list" you do not get lines. They claim to have a lot of work, but you run out frequently and will not train you on other accounts where there is much work to be done. ...
Am thinking of applying with Cardus. Most recent info is from January 2013 that I can find here. Anybody with anything new or anything to add about them? Re: Rates, enough work, good people, etc.?
Anything at this point will be welcomed. Thanks much. ...
I have seen ads several times on here for Cardus advertising for radiology MTs. I have applied several times and never heard back. Has anyone else heard back or has anyone worked for them? I just notice the job has been posted several times, so I am wondering if maybe it's not a good situation. ...
Anyone considering the Radiology position for Cardus that was recently posted on the Job Seeker’s Board, please consider this (from the Cardus website):
