Can this company be any more obvious it is not American?

they only said "english" five times - not a record here, is it?

I am not sure exactly what was said, so you may want to check archives to see, but as I recall, none of it was very good.

I've searched all the posts in September and October and this is the only thread I find on Babble type which doesn't really provide any information. When was it discussed. Better yet, can you tell us the consensus?

These people are disorganized and rude. Plus, the pay is very low. The man who owns the business has a history of getting a lot of the work he wants done through oDesk, which means he's accustomed to paying VERY low wages for transcription, as some of the overseas oDesk contractors will work for almost nothing. They have only recently (this year) started advertising on this board to get transcriptionists to work for them (no doubt because they've learned that the quality of transcription done by overseas contractors is very poor), and the contact person posting the ads and to whom you will be answering for your initial hiring process and possibly beyond that stage is an overseas worker. In short, this owner is very cheap and wants to get quality transcription for next-to-nothing pay, and he wants to pay next to nothing as well for management. I hope this gives you a picture of what you'd be facing if you decide to apply with BabbleType.

Has anyone ever did work for this company? MRT Babbly Type previously MRT Service I did some work, they were offering $1 per audio minute (I was skeptical) and they continue to email about working on projects (but I didn't) the minute I asked about payment for the work I did I never heard from them again.
