Aces Up-No pay - girlygirl

Posted: Sep 08, 2012

Aces UP is Aces down regarding pay!  Not only were my last five pay periods incorrect and VERY late, I've yet to get a check for almost $400.00.  This is absurd.  It has been excuse after excuse, and many of the excuses I've heard more than once.  Aces Up is gowing down and under it seems and she is using the paychecks to support her move to CA from West VA, what she calls GLOBAL (which is laughable).  Get real Deborah and pay up!  The check I am waiting on now is from two months ago so there is no excuse for this nonsense.  Very nonprofessional!!

I worked there a few years ago. If my check was late, she always came up with the excuse that it was the postal service that was the culprit. After almost 2 years there, I finally left. The company I work for now is just as far away and they have never been late with my pay. Go figure. She never did pay me my last paycheck and somehow that didn't surprise me. How do these people sleep at night????

Why would you keep working for so long if the 1st check didn't show? It boggles my mind that people continue to keeping working for months on end w/o getting paid.

Don't understand your post ??? - Myra

Original poster did not say anything about her first check not showing up and neither did I.

I worked there ages ago... same exact thing. When I decided to move on she gave me lame excuse that I tampered with the system and all the work I had done for 2 weeks had to be redone due to quality issues. Never had a complaint before that from them, nor have I had an issue since then. HELLO!

As Myra stated, nobody said anything about a first check. For over two years things were good. This is suddenly an issue that comes with excuses as mentioned and promises of late pay due to excuses. As mentioned, I am still missing a paycheck that she has no response to and plans apparently to just screw me out of.

I have offers to test for three new jobs which is great, but employers like this leave a bad taste in your mouth and that's sad. I worked my butt off for crap money on crap accounts, foreign dictators, and this is how I'm rewarded.

In all fairness..... - Anon II

I have also worked for Deborah at Aces Up. I never had a problem with any of my checks. I found her to be fair, kind, and a pleasure to work for. Remember... there are always two sides to every story.

I am a former AU IC too, was not pleased at all how AU handled the loss of the main account, point it is was not handled at all, we were all left to sink basically after the first notification, we all had to ferret out info on our own and spread the word amongst ourselves. No offers for other work, etc. Quite a few of us were loyal contractors too with several years with her, real shame.

I had no trouble getting paid, did checks for a while but one or two were later than I wanted, talking a few days, though one truly did get lost in the mail, eaten by the USPS more like it, showed up about 4 or so weeks late (had replacement check quickly) and the envelope was all torn up. But got tired of that so switched to being paid by PayPal, of course that was a drag since PP takes about 3% (though I wrote it off on taxes), but most of the time she would pay late in the day after 2pm, as late as midnight or sometimes the next day if it happened to be a religious holiday for her.

No clue what is happening with her now. Don't care.
