I agree so much with this!! I have sent out numerous resumes to companies. All I get is crickets. I have even tried to apply for editing jobs. No response to that. I have a BA in English. That doesn't matter, apparently. I am just randomly searching small US transcription companies and sending my resume to them. I got one hit and I am working for a company right now. I just started it. It isn't medical, but police transcription work. The woman is really nice. Pays more than MT. I love the voice recognition editing. I worked for a company and then I got let go because I didn't do things correctly. Someone was telling me to do things one way and then another person told me that way wasn't correct. So I didn't know which way was right. I guess that company wasn't for me. They hired me because of my English degree. They hired people from different countries as well. I don't like that one bit. I like the companies to STAY in the US and hire ONLY US citizens.
