Being an IC has absolutely nothing to offer except usually low pay and if these companies had any regard for the people who make money for them, they would make them employees with benefits. Even working for supplemental income, we are getting ripped off. I don't care about anything said about a company, they are all out for the money at our expense.
I have to come to realize how much money I lost over the years working at this thankless job and I have only myself to blame. I am done with MT work and the abuse.
