Maybe you will be back to read this and maybe you won’t, but I wanted to respond to your comments. I was the person who made the comment about handholding. That question reminded me of a high school clique where no one thinks for themselves and can’t make a move without checking with someone else first. I’ve worked with women who won’t do anything alone, form their own social circles, take every break and lunch together and never go outside of their little pack, it drove me nuts. Someone who received a job offer ought to be able to think for themselves without needing to go on a message board and ask other people about it because the circumstances could be totally different and not relate to the situation at all. To me, it would make sense to get information that important directly from the company who hired you instead of asking someone else. As far as being called the name that you used starting with the letter “p,” I did not appreciate it at all, and if that is how you speak to others, I would say that you have some distance to go before you earn your wings as well.
