It used to be 10 CPL, and I couldn't make money - MT3

I'm surprised they lowered their pay, since Princeton has been struggling for years to keep MTs at 10 CPL.

Patient First is seriously the most annoying account in all of medical transcription. It's famous for being one of the largest accounts in the world, while being the most annoying.

It's a huge chain of urgent care centers with like 100 locations, generating thousands upon thousands of reports per day.

All of the dictations are 30-40 seconds long, so each job is only 7 or 8 lines. Therefore you make (made when it was 10 CPL) 70-80 cents per job. Then, with the time spent between jobs, the time spent populating the patient demographics, you wind up only typing 15 jobs per hour. So you can see how difficult it is to make any money.

But at the same time it is the most EXHAUSTING account you will ever work on because of how fast each job comes and goes. You're just churning and churning through endless 30-second dictations for hours upon hours. You never get to relax into a 7 or 10 minute dictation and just sit back and type. It's just transcription hell.

So yes: Stay far away from Patient First, no matter which transcription company is paying you to do it (or, for that matter, no matter what they are paying).
