Chromebooks are different in that you can't do anything off-line with them and can only use Google apps. I'm not certain, but I think your only word processing option is Google docs. Everything is saved in the Cloud. Unless you can find something in the Google Play Store I am sorry to say you are going to be out of luck. I liked my Chromebook but did finally replace it with a Windows laptop because I was limited by what I could do.
