In addition to Joint Commission list, I have always been instructed to also use the Appendix B, dangerous abbreviations and dose designations listing, which is located in the back of the AAMT Book of Style. It's the ISMP (Institute for Safe Medication Practices) do not use list, in case you're looking for something other than the Joint Commission list.
