My teenager was in the ER because of a freak accident at a school event. I had gone to the restroom and as I was walking by the nursing station on the way back to her room the ER doc walked up to a nurse and asked how the heck the injury occurred but in a snotty way....imagine the look on his face when I said "excuse me but you're talking about my kid...." Deer in headlight look! I then explained how it happened and that yes I had even laughed at the craziness of how it all took place!
