And it was quite some time ago. The transcription portion was spun off and is a separate company called Deliver Health. Microsoft has nothing to do with it. Microsoft was primarily interested in the speech recognition portion, not the transcription. Whether they actually wanted the technology or was just getting rid of a rival, I don't know.
