both ways...far left border, no indents or auto indented. If you want the indent you can do a hard numbered border with numbering. When finished, highlight them all, and do a shift alt V. I have to check that to be sure. I do it so often, I never think about. When I check my set of reports, will get back to you. Otherwise, you should just be able to make the numbered list as you prefer.
