Joan of Arc...some history - MT1347 Posted: Dec 2nd, 2021 - 5:54 pm In Reply to: Joan of Arc was only 13 when she led the French army in a major victory - some history, sm
In Joan of Arc's time, the expected life span of a female was pretty short - 2/3rds of them died in childbirth if they made it that far in life and 13 was not considered a "child" back then because they didn't believe in victimhood and children were taught responsibility for their actions and not shielded from the consequences. She would have been lucky to make it to 35. Ruby Bridges had dozens of adults surrounding her including armed military men when she integrated that school. Some people thought her parents were mightly reckless for doing that to her but the school officials supported her - plenty of people of all races supported integration of schools long before it actually happened. Not every white person in the South was a racist. Just as today not every nonwhite is a racist like Darrell Brooks or Whoopi Goldberg who couldn't even bring herself to say that a black man commmitted the horror at Waukesha - she blamed it on a "red SUV." The Nobel Prizes are worthless - they are "woke" and have nothing to do with actual achievement - Obama getting a Peace Prize less than 2 weeks after he was inaugurated in his 1st term showed how politically correct the Nobel Commission has become.
