I had the same experience - Patient First

I worked there for about 6-8 months a couple of years ago. It was awful and I ended up leaving for a better job. Everything you described is exactly what happened to me. I got a horrible TL who gave me all of the worst job files with nearly impossible to understand dictators. I also at one point threw a fit about it and they gave me some decent jobs for a week or two, but then it was right back to the crap jobs after that. It was like they were just trying to humor me. All of the little pets and favorites got all of the good work. QA at PF is absolutely ridiculous. They expect you to entirely omit certain words and phrases that the dictator clearly says. They do this because they are so damn cheap that they want to find ways to cut your line counts in any way possible. This should be a definite no-no. Nothing that a doctor clearly dictates should EVER be ommitted for any reason unless it would be a HIPAA violation to include it. Aside from that, if something is dictated, obviously the provider wants it included in the report, but PF will have you omit anything that they feel "isn't important" and "doesn't need to be in the document." Yes, you will get QA'd to death. In my 20 years of doing MT, I have never been QA'd nearly as much at any other company as I was at PF. It almost felt like harassment.

However, I do know of some people who got great TLs who were very fair and reasonable, but that experience seems to be a rarity. Do I recommend them? No, not really. However, if you are in desperate need of a job and that's the only offer you have, I guess give it a try for yourself and see what your experience is. Maybe you will get lucky and get a good TL who isn't a total b*tch.
