Happiness depends on who your TL is...sm - My 2 cents

Some are fair and share the "junk" dictators among everyone on the team and other TLs give the junk only to the new staff and lets their favorites get all the good work. For me I was constantly getting junk and never was being trained on more than 1 site in my group until basically a threw a fit with management - and then it only lasted a while that I got a good amount. Then the TL messed up and did something they shouldn't do and I was able to switch to another group where the TL was fair about the yuck work (and there's a lot of yuck out there). Do know they QA you to death and have some goofy rules, i.e. you are mandated to change and omit a lot of stuff that is dictated. For example, "Patient denies" must be changed to "no" and if a dictator says anything about the patient's occupation, family, etc. that has to be left out. All to keep your line counts down and I've always questioned the legality of their rules. The higher powers at PF don't care and let the head of transcription do as pleased. Definitely a lot of BS for the money but the benefits are good and the reason I'd say that most stay on staff if you can get through the training BS.
