That's what I got with my calculations - about a cent less

Posted: Sep 3rd, 2021 - 4:39 pm In Reply to: If pay is cents per line for ST, gets a pay cut that is - told to be 12-13% less, could that be SM

For example, 0.08 per line for ST with a 12-13% pay cut:

0.08 x 12% = 0.0096, then subtract that from 0.08...

0.08 - 0.0096 = 0.0704 --

This would be the new rate after a pay cut of 12%, 0.0704 per line.

Do the same for a 13% pay cut:

0.08 x 13% = 0.0104, then subtract from 0.08...

0.08 - 0.0104 = 0.0696.

This would be the new rate after the 13% pay cut, 0.0696.

So, reducing 0.08 per line for ST by 12-13%, would drop it down to 0.0704 - 0.0696, and that's about 1 cent less in pay. You were right!!
