The formula is that it takes an average MT 15 minutes to transcribe an hour of audio, or 120 minutes a day. Using the $1.00 per minute formula, it would only be $15 per hour. If the audio is bad or you have difficulty, it may take longer to do the work and you will be paid less. I transcribed radiology years ago and was paid $1.10 per audio minute and didn’t average $20 an hour.
