LOL! There was never any respect for MTs except from MTs. Doctors could have cared less, all they cared about was getting their records typed, I was told we were "a dime a dozen". Our MT certificates on the wall were nothing but a piece of paper and was told "that, and a quarter, will get you a ride on the bus." Nurses gave us no credit for intelligence because "all we did was type". We were never anything more than a sweatshop buried in a basement somewhere. I've been transcribing 48 years and the only good thing to come of it is I can finally work at home.
