I'm not sure if this will help you or if this is the most up-to-date info, but I found this on a quick Google search: In File Explorer, right-click on a file whose default program you want to change. Select Open With > Choose Another App. Check the box that says “Always use this app to open . [file extension] files.” If the program you want to use is displayed, select it and click OK. The search I ran was: Windows 10 change default program for file type. You may have to Google further if these instructions are out of date. Good luck!
