Sea level - MT1347

Posted: Nov 20th, 2020 - 8:40 am In Reply to: A Rise in Sea Level - lilyjohnson

The earth is a living entity. It changes constantly, always has, always will. The sea level has never stayed constant. It has nothing to do with humans and our fuel sources or our spray deodorants (as they told us back in the 70s). It is merely Mother Nature doing her own thing to keep Earth at her best. Storms are always worse in the tropics - that is why they are called the tropics, because of all the rainfall they get and the subsequent humidity. It is the middle of the planet so of course it is more susceptible to wind, rain, and other elements.

Who are these "scientists?" Why do we continue to worship anything out of the mouth of a self-proclaimed "scientist" when in fact they have done nothing to make life better for us. They issue proclamations occasionally to keep themselves in the limelight and justify their existence, their salaries at the universities or research centers where they work.

Humanity got along pretty well without "scientists" for thousands of years. The proof is in all the magnificent civilizations across the globe that have existed. They didn't sit around brooding about the rise in the sea level and they certainly didn't let a teenage girl from a remote part of the globe decide policy.

We have had an Ice Age, that we know of, maybe we had more than one - they are always discovering new information about the earth's existence. Some people still believe that "all life" began in Africa - even though that was disproved about 25 years ago with the discovery of a Caucasian male corpse that was almost perfectly preserved in central Europe, predating anything discovered in Africa.

Please stop with the "Sky is falling" histrionics.
