I worked on Fluency previously for 5 years. Futurenet does not have the bells and whistles Fluency does but it is relatively easy to learn. The color scheme is easy on the eyes so that's helpful. No expander but I don't really need one with the work I'm doing. The speech recognition for me is excellent..better than Fluency or speech recognition on a computer. It's accurate most of the time so I'm rarely doing any re-typing. Samples and documents for accounts are a click away. There is a spellchecker. You can't play with tone but you can change speed.
Once you get going with it, it's pretty fast and user friendly.
Good luck to you.
