however, there was no name stamped anywhere. These were the noise cancelling type, with well padded ear pads. Each ear pad had its own volume control, which I love. You can adjust these to the exact volume for each ear. They also have a wider headband. They are very, very comfortable and sturdy. I also have these plugged into a volume enhancing device that plugs into my computer, which is also a great help. I had the same problem as you, especially withy some of my more difficult sloppy dictators. Helps a great deal.
