The young gal was described as healthy before COVID-19.

I haven't been able to find anything that says different.
I don't know about the older guy. There's not as much about him. I think he was transferred in. The suburban and rural hospitals may have ICUs, but they don't have ECMO.
Are you implying they didn't have COVID or that they were transplanted for something else?
There's a lot of comorbid conditions that will keep you off the transplant list in general, so I guess they didn't have those.
