Transcription Experts has IMMEDIATE OPENINGS for FULL-TIME home-based Transcriptionists (U.S.-based) with a minimum of 2 years' experience in legal transcription. Good income potential based on production. ONLY applicants meeting the following qualifications and requirements listed below will be considered. Please review ENTIRE LIST below before applying.
Qualifications:
- You MUST be available and ready to start accepting assignments after successful completion of training (training is 1 hour long)
- You MUST be a citizen of the United States, residing in the United States
- Minimum of 2 years' experience transcribing - Depositions, Statements, and Hearings
- Available to transcribe at least 5 days out of the week (Monday-Sunday)
- MUST be able to transcribe a minimum of 60-90 audio minutes per day, 120 audio minutes preferred
- Type 60+ words per minute
- Excellent grammar and punctuation skills
- Effective time management skills
- Effective communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Interpretation of street language
- Prior multi-speaker transcription experience
- Able to proofread ALL your transcripts to 98% accuracy
- Strong researching skills including unfamiliar businesses, cities, counties, etc.
- Experience transcribing verbatim is a PLUS!
Minimum Requirements
- Successfully complete/pass 2 brief law enforcement transcription tests
- Complete Applicant Questionnaire
- Provide 2 professional references
- Home office set up with high speed internet
- Transcription software installed including foot pedal (our team currently uses ExpressScribe Pro and FTR players with Infinity foot pedal)
- Good quality headphones
- MS Word and Excel installed No starter or free trial versions
Computer software and hardware requirements:
- Windows 7 Home Premium/Pro/Ultimate, Windows 8, or Windows 10.
- Antivirus program with daily virus definition updates (Except Webroot antivirus)
- MAC computers are NOT supported
