Thank you for the suggestions. The rest of the sentence that I get is "She is to avoid flexion of the back and transverse ? (fro-ka-shentz), but can dispense medications, do vital signs, and so on." This is a patient injured in a car accident with degenerative scoliosis, spondylolithesis, and stenosis. Hope that gives more clues. Rotations seems to be a good guess, but it doesn't quite sound like that.
