Coding / Medical Billing

You left out vital information on your initial post - MT2

That being that you transitioned from a transcription position to a coding position working for the same employer. Your initial post painted a picture of you finding a new coding job with great benefits when in reality you already had those benefits and it had nothing to do with getting a coding job. You just transferred positions. You had an advantage over brand new coders looking for their first job. Not everyone who went to coding school and got certified has had success in transitioning from transcription to coding. It's really not that easy for new coders to find a job, even foot-in-the door jobs. I speak from experience on this. You were lucky because you were already employed by the company you now code for. Again, something you failed to disclose in your initial post.
