And different employers offer different benefit packages. With that being said, I’m a newish coder but not a new employee. I worked for this health system as a transcriptionist for years before going into coding. My benefits transfer to my new position. Many coders take foot in the door positions to get into coding. Not sure why you spend so much of your time arguing with a total stranger on the internet about her career.
