If your local library has the books within their system but not on the shelf they can obtain them for you as long as it doesn’t require them making a purchase. I don’t know if this is a good idea, but maybe placing an ad on your local Craigslist or e even checking with medical records departments at hospitals in your area, someone might let you borrow the books or again obtain them through their library system. Going to the hospitals might be a a way for you to get a foot in the door for when you need a job. Last but not least, if you have a local AAPC chapter, you might reach out to the membership. Good luck with your exam.
