It's Word based. It has it's own autocorrect that you have to build. I don't believe you can import your personal Word autocorrects but could be wrong. I know you can transport your Inscribe autocorrects when you need to reinstall Inscribe though or need to install VDI.
Yes, it has its own dictationary.
It's a one-screen platform with buttons at the top to do just about anything else. You can also assign functions of your preference to the F keys at the top of the page for one key operation.
Very easy platform.
