As much as I would love to shed my IC status and get back to being an employee, it will add 30% to the cost of transcription services which neither the MTSOs are prepared to pay, nor are the hospitals willing to pay. And it is a cost that Nuance and the Indian MTSOs are perfectly positioned to avoid.
The only way this will work out well is if either hospitals or their patients decide... or the federal government decides for them... that when it comes to medical records, "buy American" should be the guiding premise.
