I called the Labor board in IL, and the agent told me if you file a claim and they pay you before your hearing, which takes about 90 days to come up, then everything is dropped. He said you also forfeit your right to sue them. I'm sure it's LT herself begging you to call the Labor board, but don't do it. Do not give up your right to sue for mitigated damages. Call an employment lawyer in IL.
