I think the majority of the dictation now in this industry is overflow work, or work that for whatever reason can't be done within the acceptable time frame for or by the clients.
It seems a lot of the jobs are always just a few minutes past being dictated. Makes me think the "backlog" is fast becoming a thing of the past and maybe why staffing is so messed up...
