for sparing your tailbone like a donut-type cushion might do the trick instead of buying a whole new chair. My local CVS, which is one of the bigger stores, has a department with all kinds of durable medical equipment including all types of cushions. If you don't have a CVS, maybe another large pharmacy or medical equipment store might have something. Save yourself some money, that is unless you really want a new chair.
