I know you asked the OP what her plans are for retirement, but I do want to share what I do. I am a hospice volunteer. It's not for everybody, but there is a world of all sorts of volunteer jobs out there.
I'm not the type to want to do something just to "keep busy." I really wanted to do something helpful to others in a personal way and it felt right when I decided to do it.
