VDI: Takes up more disc space than Windows itself, uses more RAM memory than Windows itself - MT2

Posted: Jun 12th, 2019 - 2:15 am In Reply to: And sadly, even if you do buy a new computer with more memory - that does not guarantee all will go well either.

Will only run with Intel chips.

Won't work with certain antivirus software.

And despite tech support's best efforts, still cannot be made function properly on a portion of the supposedly qualified computers that it is installed on because of undetermined bugs and incompatibilities with the VDI software.

It must be the worst-coded software ever.

As bloated as it is, and as flaky as it is, the internals of the VDI platform must be a total dumpster fire, meaning it is probably just bursting with weak points and exploits that hackers love.

And a billion-dollar company is funneling a large portion of America's medical records through it.

I wonder how long it will be until VDI gets on Russia's or China's or North Korea's radar and they decide to mess around with it. Then the ca-ca is really going to hit the fan. It will probably make the NHS cyber attack look like child's play.
