Why take time to ask about a company here, everyone has something different to say. If you are interested and feel that perhaps the late pay was due to a new direct deposit, then apply and find out what they actually want.
I know some posts can be helpful, but if I see a job, I just apply and go from there. Of course I have been influenced by some of the posts that others put here, but I usually never ask about the company, just "do it" and go from there. In the long run most all of these companies are terrible, so take your pick. You will never make decent money and probably have to be an IC regardless.
