“You’re Hired!” One month and a stack of paperwork later.. Never mind - Ruined financially.

It’s probably time to look outside of the industry. In my case, I spent 2 years being hired and then, waiting and waiting for up to a month only to be told that the job I was hired for was no longer available or the program wasn’t compatible (IE, lag of the sort it was impossible to get into an exam or if possible, 2 min would be required for the page to show up). This process of “you are HIRED, ahhh no, you’re NOT!” Destroyed me during the most vulnerable time in my life. I was forced to sell my home of 20 years and me and my 15 yr old dogs are now living in the van. If I were alone, I’d sign off of this planet but as long as they are alive, I continue to fight to survive. The people running these businesses are the most cruel and unusual I have come across in all my years, in any industry. If you have been posting your personal feelings on this board about being paid less than fast food workers despite a multi-million dollar industry heavy with administrators and overpaid management, I think revenge is underway. If not, then a cull in the very least. I think there are bait topics to entice MTs into a heated discussion and then the blacklisting begins. It is murder by proxy. I hope their last moments on earth include a brain surge which introduces them to the hell they forced us into, as career MTs who went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure new accounts would meet the guidelines. Again, I have always been a top producer, never had a QA issue in 30 years, went years without missing a day due to illness, appointments, vacations; in other words, I was low maintenance. But I did come on this site and voice my discouragement in threads begun by others. It’s a dirty rotten business now where tribalism/favoritism/cronyism has cornered the best work and allowed the time-consuming beyond difficult cramp to trickle down to those on the list of “we can do without.” No other industry have I seen this so blatantly obvious. I hope those who have done this to me know I am a good person who has helped anyone on the road I have found myself on whenever I could. I pray that they pay for their dirty deeds if not in this life then, in the afterlife.
