if they referred a friend or family member to them. If they worked out, you got a bonus supposedly. Always suspected they wanted to replace the MT who gave the referral. Nothing like referring a friend and you lose your job over it. Another way MTs do the "leg work" for the company with nothing in it for them but a pink slip.
