I made the same amount whether employee or IC. The difference was when I went to employee status, it was almost like getting a raise because they paid some of the taxes. Also, vacation pay and health insurance availability. I was straight typing on the oncology side and was actually making pretty good money until all the work started disappearing... to voice wreck, scribes, and overseas. I left almost a year ago when I could no longer pay my bills. Still not making much because those nice straight typing jobs are so hard to find, but I don't regret leaving that place one bit. It was a great job until IMedX took over and ruined it.
