So true! Even when they have access to the correct spelling right in front of them, they still can't spell the word out for us. Why is that so hard for them to do? Have wasted too much time listening to them rattle off letters that supposedly spell a name or a term, but it never even matches the way it sounds! So, I just don't rely on them for spelling anymore. I go to prior reports and Google. If there's nothing even close there, then it gets a blank.
