Try a line-counting software such as:
https://www.transcriptiongear.com/gearcount-software-ad-free.html
You can pay for the ad-free version, or the free version which has one unobtrusive ad along one margin. It is widely customizeable and easy to use.
I use the free version and love it.
From the above page, click the "Package Contents" tab, then "Free Version with Built-In Ads."
