It's been claimed they are an Indian company that has a NC office to try to look American. I tend to think that may be true since on their website in the "about us" there is no mention of a leadership team and that's common in these situations. If you're considering their recent e-mail wanting to hire at 3.5 and 5.5 know there are other companies hiring at higher rates for the same account they want to hire people for. Sign up with FaceBook MT groups as more jobs are being posted through them and you'll find the higher paying ones through there.
