Adding -year-old to auto correct - Former MT

What worked for me was to actually type -year-old on the page after a #--I would type the number, space over 1 space, then backspace to the # and type the hyphenated year old. I would then highlight -year-old and lift it into auto correct. Be sure to check formatted text, not plain text. Hope this makes sense and that it works.
