KVM switch with perixx keyboard - FF

Just switched keyboards from MS to this one which I really like but can't get the windows 7 computer to recognize the new keyboard through the KVM switch.  The windows 10 one recognizes it.  Tried unplugging everything to reset it, looked for drivers, says it does not need any.  Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience/solution.  thanks.  (I can unplug it each time I want to switch but was hoping to avoid that.)  Thanks
