I think they may be referring to some of those "production-based" companies that have ridiculously high production requirements. Where I work, we are actually required to take at least a 30 minute lunch break and be logged out of the system.
Unfortunately, some of those companies remind me so much of what has happened to MTs. However, there are some good places to work as a coder and I'm lucky enough to work for one of them.
