to make $10 an hour, which is why this industry is in the shape it is currently in - a market flooded with new or less experienced MTs who are happy to take anything as long as they can work at home.
Also, there is a huge market of semi-retired MTs now, who are also happy to make $10 an hour to supplement retirement funds, Social Security, or a husband's income.
The only way we can reverse this trend of low pay and companies that are taking advantage of the current MT status is to refuse to take this pay and force them off of specialized job boards such as this.
But, there will always be someone willing to take the low pay - as long as they can stay home. Not all of us are breadwinners or realize our worth.
